“A green chart” - system of the International auto insurance
What is “the Green chart” and what for it is necessary .The occurrence history “Green chart” leaves in post-war years. This system has begun the life in territory of the European countries and Scandinavia since January, 1st, 1953. In post-war Europe it was already possible to cross rather easy on the car of border of the different states. But drivers, being are insured in the country, having had an accident in territory another, appeared in a difficult situation. The same as also firms, their insured: after all at each state the laws and the rules. In 1946 the Committee concerning transport of the European economic commission in Geneva has created working group of road transport. All remember that in former years in the USSR it was possible to insure the car, cargo and a life. But about responsibility before speech “third parties” did not go. Today in Russia many insurance organisations undertake to insure “civil liability”. Its essence that in case of failure all expenses on compensation of a damage to the victim are incurred by the one who has insured the originator of road accident. In practice it is everyone saw in “the western” films: have faced, left, have looked round, have a little given vent to emotions, naturally, within the limits of the law, have exchanged cut-aways of insurance firms - and have parted. Certainly, the validity is more prosy than cinema. Occurrence of attendants of an order is inevitable to fix incident. So, not always pleasant dialogue with them. But it is trifles. The main thing - insurance firm foots the bill, if you have rumpled someone’s car in road accident.
Today in territory of Russia and some CIS countries uniform for them and furthermore uniform international insurance is absent. “The green chart” operates exclusively in case of road accident and serves to pay expenses of the person to whom it is put material, physical and mental cruelty. If your four-wheel treasure has beaten the hailstones which suddenly were falling down from a cloud then “the Green chart” will not help. Also it will appear powerless and in a case (if it is proved, it is final) deliberate or ill-intentioned your acts. “The green chart” will not rescue neither at acts of nature, nor at fires, at the beginning of conducting military operations. Because it - not an insurance policy, and the document which confirms the fact of the insurance of occupier’s liability of the concrete vehicle!
In the different countries different conditions on obligatory insurance of a civil liability of motorists operate. For example, in Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Finland and Norway are not present restriction on a covering of expenses of the dissatisfied party for drawing of harm to health or life deprivation. The covering of a property damage is not limited in Belgium and Luxembourg. Therefore, even if the damage caused by you to other car or its owner will be absolutely astronomical, the insurance firm will compensate it also to you it is not necessary to pay off. In other states there are limits, and, driving there, it is necessary to take an interest, as the obligatory insurance operates there.
Where and how to buy “the Green chart”
In the majority of big cities to get it it is possible in insurance firm which is engaged in this kind of insurance. But, if for any reason it was not possible to you, be not upset - ?? is on sale directly on border, thus on the same customs transition
The minimum period of validity of “the Green chart” - 15 (fifteen) days.
