Fresh Air Fund

Money Amulet has received an interesting email from Fresh Air Fund. The thing is that it’s a non-governmental organization, a not-for-profit agency, which provides free summer vacations in the countryside to many New York City children from low-income communities. The Fund is now accepting applications for counselors for this coming summer of ‘09. They hire staff members with a wide range in some pretty amazing fields. College-aged men and women who love to work with children are needed. Another issue is that due to the current economic recession the Fresh Air Fund like other non-profit establishments has taken a hit in its fundraising. And it’s quite clear because the Fund is supported by private donations just. They asked us for informational help and we are happy to do so that our readers could know about the foundation.
